Home Page |
Scott and I were talking a bit about homepages. I mentioned how my original homepage got dozens of hits every day, even without any advertising. Web spider did come in, but basically, that was because someone put a link to my homepage, and therefore got indexed.
The trick is, to use popular key words in your text. That doesn't mean that I should fiddle with keywords meta tag until it gets to top ten, but rather write descriptions in such a way that maximizes visits to the page. For example, knowing that "Harry Potter" is a popular name, and that my name is Harry, I may, for example, engage in doing some pottery. Harry the Potter. Get it? Okay, okay. Just doing a little bit of potter pitter patter. Bigger, better potter pitter patter. Bet you can't say that three times fast. :) This reminds me of an old survey. The three most popular key words, for a time, were: free, sex, and win. Of course, the trick is to create a page where you can win free sex. ;) Not in this homepage! Scott also mentioned how much materials my homepage has, in such a short period of time. This is because some of those are old stuff, and others are done very, very quickly. I didn't even check for spelling or grammar. Such as this page. Another thing, is that I have automated the process.
A fast webmaster can convert 50 HTML pages per day. This is equivalent to 10 minutes per page. Since my technique is automatic, I can do faster than that. That is what lots of experience gives me. I still remember the day I fixed 600 HTML web pages with JavaScript. I calculated it to be about 20-30 seconds per page. Not bad at all, eh?
