I started to work nights. Really annoying. Bugs kept coming in, even though the window is screened. I must have squashed at least 9 bugs this morning. At least I get to use the computer okay. No overheating. I checked out yabasic, SDL, and SDL perl extension. It turns out SDL is pretty shallow. In order to get the maximum benefit, you really need OpenGL. Also, although the system is compatible with Windows, There's not much instructions on how to use it with Windows system. As it is, I'm having trouble with compiling perl extension for Unix. I think I need to install OpenGL as well, or at least MesaGL, the alternative.
This is a pain, but that's Unix. Fortunately for me, all of these is free and open, so there's a good chance of one of those Linux packager will do all of this for me. In the meantime, I'll put this down as will do if I have time, which I probably won't until next year.
